Description
Wandering about the Yellowstone caldera at 8:30 PM on a hot dusty August evening, the hiker stumbles upon on odd collection of granite-like boulders in an igneous field of volcanic activity. The egg-shaped boulders are only modestly warm to the touch, unlike magma-heated stones, and yet a red glow underlies the whole "patch" of rock. A sudden flash of movement, and a foreboding hissing sound terrify the hiker. Turning to his right, it is already too late...he sees the flash of teeth, the glint of angry red eyes, and the streak of fiery breath, just as he recognizes the outline of the mother dragon defending her dragon brood. The full roar of a blast of flame is the last thing the young man will ever hear. Okay, so anyway this is a very cool (or hot) fractal abstract. A close-up view reveals great unexpected detail. Fractal Fun!! See also Boulder Smolder-Dawn.
