Artist's Description

Fractal abstract illustrates the hypothetical beauty and simplicity of dark matter and dark energy. Specialized centers of dark energy research eventually found that the newly observed grid of dark stars was in fact a network of cold star gate travelways left by a Class III civilization, a subway system for the galaxy. The grid continues in 3D, better seen with the magnification from the green box.

1st place win in Stars and Nebulas Contest sponsored by the Vast Cosmos group (administered by Ricky Haug). Featured in both Vast Cosmos group features. #1 of 125 submissions. 14 Mar 2015
