Artist's Description
Fractal abstract depicts the gravitational merging of two large spiral galaxies that wandered too close to one another. A successful merge appears likely in contrast to one or the other galaxies being ripped to shreds by unthinkably large gravity waves.
Blue and violet predominate and are shown in soft and luminescent tones.The soft colors and sharp edged scones create an interesting play on light. The dual spiral vortex patterns show interesting intersection effects and there is interesting almost coordinated interplay of the spiral arms. An intriguing conversation starter no matter where it is hung. Intended for kids 3-99 years old.

Fractals! There is richness and wonder in endless repetition. The eye seems to hungrily seek out repeating patterns by instinct, while the mind assembles separate or even disparate pieces into a single cohesive whole. Fractal art spontaneously elicits a gratifying union of both processes. I create fractal art through a digital medium. I am drawn to making fractal images that evoke a sense of the familiar.
