Description
This complex and tightly wound fractal spiral is meant to shed light on the features of the Dominican (or Haitian) dance known as Merengue. Small frequent steps are coupled with somewhat immobile or stiff upper body movements, and slow turns (4 steps per turn commonly). The dance partners hold each other closely and the two are led by the leader's left hand at eye level. Hips move in the same direction together throughout the song.
This spiral fractal is a marvelous mix of twisted spiral arms that loosen then return to the small diameter circle where arms are again tightly wound. The warm color palate provides a comfortable abstract which begs for attention to not miss the complex detail. This would be useful for guided meditation or just to hang on a wall alone or possibly with other abstracts from the Dance collection. This would look good at home or in the office.
