When theory is taken to extremes, flights of fancy take wing, with projections that are far stranger than the quantum mechanics that led to the concept of the multiverse. The prediction that there are parallel or simultaneous universes present and that a toss of the dice may sometimes lead to unpredicted alternatives and outcomes has been a controversial extrapolation of mathematics joined awkwardly with quantum mechanics, and recently entanglement states.
