Description
An acidic sea decolorizes coral and hypoxia leads also to bleached coral beds. This fractal abstract portrays Nature's patient genetic tinkering which has resulted in coral that not only resists acidic ocean waters, but also results in liberation of oxygen immediately around reef surfaces. The effect occurs through previously unseen bio-rings that are a part of the webbed reef structure. The result is healthy coral that retains its brilliant chromatic array of color. The rings almost magically draw in fish like a magnet and restore reef biodiversity in only a few years. Scientists hope the effect spreads rapidly from the South Pacific coral reefs around the Kirabati to the nearby Australian Barrier Reefs.
Okay...wishful thinking...but wouldn't it be grand?
