The Ygglaand balsams reach 100 meters into the sky on the tablelands called Yessland. Their canopies stretch for hundreds of kilometers on the continent Bladd of the volcanic homeplanet Fjorknot.
These towering forests are comprised of millions of the giant trees known also as Yessong Globetrees or Yessong Smoketrees. While the leaves of the Globetrees clean the atmosphere of this volcanic planet of the potentially life-threatening amounts of the volcanic gasses methane and sulfur dioxide, they emit chromogenic volatiles that give the sky a yellowish-orange or a golden smoky cast.
Sunsets on Yessland are dramatic collections of gold, orange, brown, and red. These spectacular sunsets and the Yessong Globetrees make this Class-M planet a tourist attraction for the many space-faring civilizations throughout the Dragon spiral galaxy.

Doug, this refined composition lets the balsam's beautiful details be enjoyed by the viewer very effectively!
Doug Morgan replied:
Hi Joel...I sharpened the abstract's details a bit PP through Topaz Detail then added background and sunset sky through Corel Paintshop. I agree the backdrop enables better viewing of the feathered detail especially. As always thanks for your well-focused comments!
