A Fractal Phoenix and it's lifelong partner depart through a portal into an alternate dimension. The shimmering rainbow signals their successful flight into a separate reality. The Phoenix is one of very few creatures able to make the dimensional leap back and forth as easily as sitting nonchalantly on a high voltage wire. Next time you watch a bird on a wire, check for a shimmering rainbow and be sure the bird is still there. OK fine...this is just a really cool fractal abstract that will also be filed (you guessed it) in the Fractal Rainbows Gallery.
Fractals! There is richness and wonder in endless repetition. The eye seems to hungrily seek out repeating patterns by instinct, while the mind assembles separate or even disparate pieces into a single cohesive whole. Fractal art spontaneously elicits a gratifying union of both processes. I create fractal art through a digital medium. I am drawn to making fractal images that evoke a sense of the familiar. The joy that comes from uncovering the “familiar” while transforming fractals can be intense, similar to the “eureka!” moment of an epiphany.
