The possibility of intergalactic travel was suprising and involved serendipity. Dark matter star gates were discovered throughout our galaxy in 2087, and found by intrepid travelers to open into close-by star systems (2098 CE), distant galaxies (3020 CE), and different quadrants of our known universe (3025 CE). Master builders now long gone were frequent flyers to be sure...billions and billions of mileage points for each trip. Based on available records this race lived for millennia as well.
Fractals! There is richness and wonder in endless repetition. The eye seems to hungrily seek out repeating patterns by instinct, while the mind assembles separate or even disparate pieces into a single cohesive whole. Fractal art spontaneously elicits a gratifying union of both processes. I create fractal art through a digital medium. I am drawn to making fractal images that evoke a sense of the familiar. The joy that comes from uncovering the “familiar” while transforming fractals can be intense, similar to the “eureka!” moment of an epiphany.
