The cha-cha-cha (called the Cha Cha in USA) is a Latin dance that began in Cuba. It evolved as a “simpler” alternative to the mambo. The couples dance takes its name from the spoken dance steps ‘two-three-cha-cha-cha” in a less complicated but still syncopated dance routine.
