Artist's Description

The cha-cha-cha (called the Cha Cha in USA) is a Latin dance that began in Cuba. It evolved as a “simpler” alternative to the mambo. The couples dance takes its name from the spoken dance steps ‘two-three-cha-cha-cha” in a less complicated but still syncopated dance routine. The streamlined steps and a more straight-forward dance music led to its sharp rise in popularity among the 7-10 basic Latin dances today.

The fractal abstract intended to portray the Cha Cha is shown in orange dual spirals. These spirals display a distinct 3D quality that adds to the drama of the abstract. Will be appreciated at home or in the office by both adults and children.

Fractals! There is richness and wonder in endless repetition. The eye seems to hungrily seek out repeating patterns by instinct, while the mind assembles separate or even disparate pieces into a single cohesive whole. The joy that comes from uncovering the familiar while transforming fractals can be intense, similar to the eureka! moment of an epiphany. Many of my fractal designs are specifically created to mimic elements found in our daily lives. The most frequent themes of my work are candies, flora and fauna, machinery, and fanciful...
